What’s the story behind your nickname?
I’ve been called Izzy since I was a little kid. This is because I used to have a lisp and Isadore was more Ithadore- so the only approach I could do was try to zz up.
Over time, I found the name Izzy more relatable, friendly, and relaxed. I didn’t like that people kept thinking I was foreign or different, hence choosing Izzy as a safer, more relaxed name.
My mom chose my name because she wanted to give me a unique name. Isadore was a great grand-uncle, and this was the compromise she reached. She also believed deeply that I’d be a girl. Maybe Izzy satisfies that dream, in theory, while also keeping things fun.
