Republicans feel ascendant. Their guy won overwhelmingly. The elites and media have been discredited. Joe Rogan’s value has been cemented.
There’s a temptation to hector the chattering classes. To relish the tears of liberals. Don’t do this. They’re already beating themselves up. They’re going to be doing some soul-searching. They’re also Americans.
While there’s certainly an appetite for rage, we’re stronger when we unite. I don’t want families to be shattered over political differences. I want people to move on and focus on more important things, like sports or literally anything else.
There’s a temptation to press one’s advantage to reclaim social clout. Why energize people to fight harder against you?
