A close friend of mine visited me today all the way from the mean streets of Wisconsin. I was struck with such appreciation for the time I get to spend with him. We can talk the entire day about the different intellectual interests we share in common, with different perspectives, while getting deeper into our thoughts on the topics. We ranged from factory farming optimization to culpability for crime, to general slander of the unproductive and those unwilling to conform to society’s standards of not being unpleasant to be around.
Some highlights: Eating deep fried bullfrog, playing many games of Magic the Gathering, visiting the Brooklyn Bridge, trying sugar free bubble tea, visiting a vegan cafe, driving across state lines, and purchasing Konjack jelly at a random vegan store midway through little Italy
